  • Among the completed JSCORS base stations, three suitable base stations were selected for project implementation.
  • Use the GNSS signal power splitter to split the JSCORS base station antenna data. The first data stream is connected to the CORS receiver to ensure the normal operation of the JSCORS system; the second data stream is connected to a receiver dedicated to ionospheric monitoring.
  • An ionospheric scintillation and TEC monitoring and analyzing system based on Visual Studio has been developed to meet the daily needs for ionospheric scintillation and TEC monitoring.

  • Using the ionospheric scintillation and TEC observation data in the regional scale of Jiangsu, we statistically analyze the day-by-day, seasonal, and local time-dependent characteristics of the ionospheric scintillation and TEC in the region based on the changes of amplitude and phase scintillation indices, further study the power spectral density characteristics of the irregularities that cause the ionospheric scintillation, and estimate the drift speed of the irregularities.

  • A rational ionospheric scintillation and TEC forecasting method is constructed based on a BP neural network model, taking into account multiple ionospheric influencing factors: solar flare flux, interplanetary magnetic field, solar wind, geomagnetic storms, seasons, and local time are used as network inputs;

  • According to the empirical formula, the hidden layer neurons are trained and adjusted by iterative testing using the calibration dataset to determine a reasonable number of hidden layer neurons; the network outputs ionospheric perturbation degree information.
